The Intelligent Transportation Society of Massachusetts (ITS Massachusetts) is a non-profit, non-partisan, broadly based coalition of business, labor, institutions of academia, and public agencies - all concerned with the improvement of intermodal surface transportation in Massachusetts. For over a decade ITS Massachusetts has served as the premiere organization advocating and supporting Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in the Commonwealth. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) utilize advanced technologies and communications to improve the safety, security and efficiency of the surface transportation system. ITS Massachusetts serves as a forum and a resource for information about ITS projects, activities, and opportunities throughout the state. Our goal is to increase awareness of local ITS projects and ITS benefits among local policymakers, political leaders and the general public. ITS Massachusetts is one of twenty-four regional chapters of ITS America.

15th Annual ITS Massachusetts Annual Meeting and Conference
The 15th ITS Massachusetts Annual Meeting and Conference is just around the corner and we invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to participate as an Exhibitor and/or a Sponsor! The Annual Meeting presents a unique opportunity for access to transportation decision makers throughout Massachusetts and New England .
The conference will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the State Transportation Building (10 Park Plaza) in Boston. The conference theme is “Achieving Sustainability with Integrated Transportation Strategies” The Annual Meeting and Conference is an exciting day-long program of panel discussions, technical sessions, and presentations.
With the recent creation of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, there is a renewed emphasis on increasing the efficiency of the Commonwealth’s transportation system using the latest technology. This coupled with the global focus on sustainability has created an environment in which innovative technology solutions have greatly improved transportation’s role in achieving sustainability. Therefore, building on last year’s successful annual meeting, this year’s theme, “Achieving Sustainability with Integrated Transportation Strategies” will explore the role of ITS in developing and promoting sustainable transportation solutions. - Details to be Announced
